H2Ocean consortium

SKV is more and more conscious about the planet and want to be active part of the change, especially for our local community. For this reason, SKV is a proud member of the H2Ocean consortium, together with many other industry players, such as Murueta, Wärtsilä, Ingeteam, Tecnalia, Port Bilbao, Sener and Repsol. The aim of this innovative project is to help reduce carbonisation and hit IMO 2050 decarbonisation targets. This project seeks to research technologies that allow the industries of the Basque Country to be positioned as a national and international benchmark regarding the sustainable vessel of the future based fundamentally on hydrogen technology.  The final result of the project envisions hydrogen production, as well as a map of consumers and finally to a living experiment on the Bilbao River, where floating barges will be pushed by zero-emissions tugs.
